Spring 2024 After School Clubs

Carlin Springs After School Clubs – Spring Registration is now closed/all clubs are full.

  • Clubs begin on Tuesday, April 16th and end on Thursday, June 6th. (2:40 to 4:30 p.m.).
  • Family confirmation emails were sent out on April 2, 2024 to let you know which club your child is enrolled.
  • Each club has a one time $5 fee due before the club begins. If this fee is a challenge for you, please let us know.
  • All clubs are in-person at Carlin Springs.
  • Snacks provided.
  • Students can ride the Late Bus after Clubs if they are eligible (@4:30 pm).

Clubs continuing from winter session with the same students:

YES Club (4th-5th grade/Mondays). YES Club ends on June 3rd.

Cardinal Club with Mr. Shields ends on May 3rd (5th grade/Mondays AND Wednesdays).

 

Spring 2024 Club Descriptions  (Spring Session Dates: Tuesday, April 16 – Thursday, June 6, 2024)

Art Club (Kindergarten- 1st grade/Thursdays) – Calling all artists! Roll up your sleeves and put on a smock because we have a special after school club for all interested in becoming artists!  Use your imagination and creativity to learn a variety of crafts you can bring home.

Arts and Crafts Club (3rd-5th grade/Tuesdays) – Use your imagination and creativity to learn a variety of crafts you can bring home. We will explore beading, collaging, macrame, greeting cards, and other fun arts and crafts!

Dance Club (1st- 2nd grades/Tuesdays) – Have fun learning different styles of dance in a very active way.  Learn to express yourself, implement ideas in movement, and have a great creative effort with friends.  You’ll learn physical skills, stretch your muscles, and be a star! This club will be facilitated by staff from the Jane Franklin Dance Company.

Superheroes Acting Club (1st- 2nd grades/Tuesdays) – Come create stories about superheroes. Using the superpowers of imagination and creativity, students will collaborate to workshop their best superhero stance, and play different games to save the day. With superhero tales and teamwork, students will create their own superhero stories.

Gardening Club (3rd- 5th grades/ Thursdays) – Gardening Club provides a great way for students to learn about gardening and gain hands-on experience growing their own food. Kids will learn how to plan ahead and be patient, and most of all, a spirit of adventure.

Graphic Design & Digital Art (3rd- 5th grades/ Tuesdays) – Using the innovative Procreate software, our young artists will master digital brush strokes, transitioning smoothly from sketching and painting to fine detailing. Traditional art concepts will be blended with the arsenal of a digital medium!

Soccer Club (2nd- 5th grades/ Tuesdays & Thursdays) – Join the Read Madrid Soccer coaches in this fun club to learn new soccer skills and improve your techniques! You will play games together, practice drills, watch demonstrations and get up and move!

Volleyball for Girls Club (3rd- 5th grades/Thursdays) – Come and have fun playing volleyball. Children of any skill level will  improve while having fun in a lightly competitive environment.
