Allison Rivera, School Counselor
Hello families, I am Allison Rivera and I will be the full-time counselor at Carlin Springs this school year. I am incredibly excited to begin this new school year. I will teach classroom counseling lessons to students in grades Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and part of 5th grade, in addition to individual and small group counseling. I also speak Spanish. Sofia Portillo, School Counselor
Hello families! My name is Sofia Portillo, and I am the Part-Time Counselor at Carlin Springs (Monday afternoons, Wednesdays, and Fridays). I will primarily work with 4th grade and some of 5th grade (Ms. Campana and Ms. Ramirez’s class). I will be teaching classroom lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling for these classes. I also speak Spanish, so please feel free to ask any questions!
What we offer
Classroom Counseling Lessons
Students in K-5, will receive counseling lessons twice a month on topics such as problem-solving, bullying prevention, identifying emotions, etc.
Individual & Small Group Counseling
Individual short term one-on-one counseling is offered with parent consent. Small group short-term group counseling is offered with parent consent.
Lunch Bunches
Students may participate in small groups during their lunch time, with the counselor. Lunch bunch groups will be formed based on needs such as social skills building including: cooperation, collaboration, and communicating with peers. **if you prefer your child does not participate in a lunch bunch, please let us know**
