Kindergarten

I have taught at Carlin Springs since 2019, and I have been a teacher since 2008. I have a Masters degree in International Education from George Washington University and a Masters degree in Teaching Early Childhood from Trinity University. I live here in Arlington with my husband and son, who also attends APS schools.

Hello! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Foreign Language Education from Korea and have taught pre-kindergarten through sixth grade in the US and Korea for 35 years. This is my 23rd year teaching in Arlington. I love working with children, sharing my knowledge, inspiring students, and watching them learn and grow. I enjoy thinking outside the box. My hobbies include hiking, gardening, and playing pickleball.

I have over a decade of experience teaching pre-kindergarten and kindergarten in DC and Virginia Public Schools. I have been a teacher at Carlin Springs Elementary since 2021. I am from Alexandria, VA and graduated with a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia and a M.A.Ed. from William and Mary in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction. When I am not at school I enjoy walking my dog, Levi, and cooking.
