2nd Grade

I have been in education for 28 years, with extensive experience as a head teacher. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for both students and staff. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, watching movies, and reading, always seeking new ways to relax and grow. My passion for teaching and personal development continues to guide me in both my professional and personal life.

I am originally from St. Louis, MO. I have experience teaching across multiple states, including California, Alabama, Missouri, Illinois, and Virginia. With a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education, as well as certifications in Gifted Education and Special Education, I bring a diverse skill set and a deep commitment to meeting the needs of all students. I have taught at Carlin Springs for 10 years in roles that include gifted instruction and General Education. When not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and playing with my two Yorkies, Bruce Lee and Teddy. An avid traveler and reader, I enjoys exploring new places and diving into mysteries and science fiction books in my free time.

I am from Delaware! I attended Delaware State University for my bachelors degree, then I attended Wilmington University for my Master's.

This is my third year teaching 2nd grade at Carlin Springs. When I am not teaching, I love to travel, spend time with family, walk, and read. I have been married for 30 years and have three amazing young adults.
