Carlin Springs After School Clubs
- Clubs begin on Monday, September 23 and end on Thursday, December 5, 2024. (2:40 to 4:30 p.m.).
- Each club has a one time $5 fee due before the club begins. If this fee is a challenge for you, please let us know.
- Families who are enrolled in a club have received an email confirmation.
- All clubs are in-person at Carlin Springs.
- Snacks provided.
- Students can ride the Late Bus after Clubs if they are eligible (@4:30 pm).
- More details about the Late Bus will be sent out on ParentSquare.

Fall 2024 Club Descriptions (September 23 – Thursday, December 5, 2024)
Kindergarten Club Descriptions:
Animal Tales: Kindergarten & 1st grade- Wednesdays
Hop, slither, soar, and swing into an animal adventure! In this fun and physically engaging class, students will use their bodies, voices, and imaginations to recreate animals from all over the world. Through improvisation games, dramatizing stories, and teamwork, young actors will growl, howl, and prowl their way to the stage. Family and friends are invited for a final sharing on the last day of class.
Dance Explorers Club: Kindergarten & 1st grade- Wednesdays
Have fun learning different styles of dance in a very active way. Learn to express yourself, implement ideas in movement, and have a great creative effort with friends. You’ll learn physical skills, stretch your muscles, and be a star! This club will be run by staff from the Jane Franklin Dance Company.
1st Grade Club Descriptions:

Line, color, shape, texture, space, and form will all be emphasized through projects based on our observations and imaginations.

Use your imagination and creativity to learn a variety of crafts you can bring home. We will explore beading, collaging, macrame, greeting cards, and other fun arts and crafts!

4th & 5th Grade Club Descriptions:
Chemistry Creations: 3rd, 4th & 5th grade- Thursdays
It’s time for some CRAZY SCIENCE. Want to create your own playdough or dip your fingers into a concoction that changes from a liquid to a solid? How about a dry ice bubble machine or volcanic lemon? There are just so many experiments to try. In Chemistry Creations we will test out a multitude of experiments and explore the wonderful world of science.
Girls on the Run: 3rd, 4th & 5th grade – Mondays & Wednesdays

Y.E.S Club (Invitation Only): 4th & 5th grade – Mondays
Y.E.S. Club will start on October 28th. This mentoring program is for students in fourth and fifth grade. The mission of the program is to help students feel connected to their school community and to peers. Students can be referred to the Project Y.E.S. program by teachers, counselors, administrators or parents. Weekly meetings focus on academics, community service, team building and leadership activities.
