The beginning of the school year is an exciting time but it can also be tricky to juggle all of the school events and holidays. We’ve put together this list of important school dates.

  • Aug. 28: First Day of School: K-12
  • Aug. 29: First Day of School: VPI
  • Sept. 1 & 4: Holiday – Labor Day
  • Sept. 6: Back-to-School Night at 6:30 p.m.
  • Sept. 25: Holiday – Yom Kippur
  • Oct. 9 – No School for Students
  • Oct. 19 – Elementary Early Release for Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • Oct. 20 – No School for Students for Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • Nov. 7 – No School for Students
  • Nov. 10 – Holiday (Veterans Day)
  • Nov. 22-24 – Holiday- Thanksgiving Break
  • Dec. 6 – Early Release
  • Dec. 21-29 – Winter Break
  • Jan. 1 – Holiday – no school for students
  • Jan. 15 – Holiday – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Jan. 29 – No School for Students
  • Feb. 1 – Early Release
  • Feb. 19 – Holiday – Presidents Day
  • March 14 – Elementary Early Release for Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • March 15 – No School for Students for Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • March 25-29 – Spring Break
  • April 10 – Holiday – Eid al-Fitr
  • April 15 – No School for Students
  • May 3 – Early Release
  • May 27 – Holiday – Memorial Day
