School Family Engagement Opportunities throughout the 2025-2026 School Year

July 8 & August 8, 2025 – Popsicles in the Park – Families are invited to meet at a local park, receive free books, all while enjoying enjoy teacher read aloud stories, popsicles, and balloons.
August 21, 2025 – Open House – Families are invited to visit their child’s classroom and meet the teachers and staff at the school building.
September 11, 2025 – Back to School Night – Families meet grade level teams and receive information about the school year and instructional focus areas.
September 19, 2025 – Welcome Back Picnic – A fun evening of activities and food; a chance to meet other families and staff in a welcoming and casual environment; make crafts and take home free books.
October 6, 2025 – Family Chat & PTA Meeting – Preparing for Parent-Teacher Conferences; common questions and topics covered, how to communicate with teachers about student concerns
October 10 & 13, 2025- Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences – Families meet 1-to-1 with the teacher to discuss child’s learning.
October 24, 2025 – Fall Family Dance – A fun PTA-sponsored event with snacks, music, and a costume contest; a chance to meet other families and staff in a welcoming and casual environment. (Costume donations were included in previous week’s Family Market event.)
November 3, 2025 – PTA General Membership Meeting
November 13, 2025 – Title I Academic Night – Families learn about Title I and give input on our School-Family Partnership Principles; Meet with teachers and other families in your grade level to learn a take-home activity that supports students’ learning.
January 29, 2026 – Winter Concert – 4th & 5th grade orchestra, band, and chorus present their work. (Bad weather date: February 11, 2026)
March 12 & 13, 2026 – Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences – Families meet 1-to-1 with the teacher to discuss child’s learning.
March 24, 2026 – Family Science Night – Together with the Children’s Science Center, the school invites families to explore science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts through fun, engaging hands-on exhibits, activities, and programs.
April 17, 2026 – International Night – Families bring foods that represent their home cultures to share in a school-wide potluck dinner. Groups present dances and songs. Students present their learning about the many countries and cultures of our diverse world, with a focus on those represented in our diverse study body.
May 7, 2026 – Spring Concert – 4th & 5th grade orchestra, band, and chorus present their work.
June 12, 2026 – Student & Staff Variety Show – Students and staff have the opportunity perform and share their individual talents.
