As we celebrate Nurse’s Week, please join us in congratulating our Carlin Springs Nurse, Jessica Galvez, from Arlington County Public Health’s, School Health Bureau!

Jessica was our Public Health Division’s nominee for the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Nurse of the Year Award, and as such, is recognized as the Arlington County Public Health Nurse of the Year for 2023!

Jessica is well deserving of this award due to the myriad of ways she uses her passion and creativity to advocate for vulnerable populations, her ability to build bridges between the community and local partners, and the leadership she displays in supporting the health equity mission of the Arlington County Public Health Department.
