Carlin Springs recognizes the importance of good communication and good working relationships between students, parents, and the school. Therefore, every effort will be made to protect student and parent privacy rights except under certain limited conditions. Professional School Counselor
Gretchen Brenckle is a full-time professional school counselor who has worked in Arlington Public Schools (APS) for over 12 years. Before becoming a school counselor, Ms. Brenckle worked for the Arlington Employee Assistance Program coordinating their Wellness Program. Ms. Brenckle is licensed by the State of Virginia and received her Masters in School Counseling from Marymount University in May 2008. Ms. Brenckle is a member of the American School Counselor Association as well as a member of the Virginia School Counselor Association for which she sat on their board from 2007-2008 as their government relations state representative.Mrs. Brenckle grew up in Arlington and attending Arlington Public Schools from Kindergarten to 12th grade. She now resides in Arlington with her husband, son and two cats.
Professional School Counselor
Kelynne Bisbee is the part-time professional school counselor who will be at Carlin Springs on Tuesdays. She has been a full- or part-time counselor with Arlington Public Schools for 10 years. Ms. Bisbee earned her Masters degree and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in School Counseling and Social Justice Education from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in2000. She holds a VA license in School Counseling and is a member of the American School Counselor Association and the Virginia School Counselor Association. Ms. Bisbee has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences and has authored a professional journal article. She is originally from Central New York and moved to Arlington in 2000 where she now lives with her husband, son, and two cats.
